Scar camouflage & medical tattooing mentorship days with The Skarblend® Academy
Share
We’re excited to share that Grace has recently completed the Advanced Mentorship Program with Jo Bregazzi here at The SKARBLEND® Academy. This program has been a journey of refinement, deep learning, and new techniques that have enriched Grace’s skills in scar camouflage tattooing.
During her time with Jo, Grace honed the intricate art of blending skin tones—a skill that brings incredible transformation to those seeking scar camouflage. This technique requires a deep understanding of colour matching and layering, and under Jo’s guidance, Grace gained the confidence to create smooth, natural transitions for her clients.
Jo also worked with Grace on modifying existing camouflage work. Scar camouflage is not always a “one and done” process, and many clients come back for adjustments over time. Grace learned how to use colour theory to rebalance faded or shifted pigments, keeping the work soft and in harmony with the client’s natural skin tone.
In addition, Grace explored techniques for lightening discoloured scars, particularly those with purple or darker tones that can sometimes be more challenging to blend. Using specialised pigments and a refined approach, Grace learned how to tone down the intensity of these colours, creating a softer, more balanced look that complements the surrounding skin.
Grace’s journey with Jo has been inspiring to witness. Beyond refining technical skills, this mentorship emphasizes a careful, thoughtful approach to scar camouflage, which can be transformative for each person who seeks it.
Congratulations, Grace, on completing this next step in your professional path. We’re excited to see the positive impact your work will continue to make in people’s lives.
